Mary Leahy was born here and lived in the house until she left for
America in about 1898. Mary's brother John lived here his entire
life and is still remembered by some of the neighbors. The
house is on the Balygalogue Road across from the Dromin Estate (see photo
of Dromin) about two miles north of Listowel. Take a left on Balygalogue
from the top of Church Street (there is a fairly new gas station on the
corner) and proceed about a mile and a half. The house is on the right
about 100 yards before you reach the Dromin Estate. There is
a lot of new construction going up nearby so you better go soon.
